Our School Year is in Full Swing

During Table time we practice Spanish vocab from the boys' weekly class.  They also watch a Salsa Spanish video which is a series of puppet shows in Spanish.

We practice their speech therapy homework and watch some current events clips on CNN10.

Our current read aloud is the American Girl series about Kaya from the mid-18th century.  This will give the boys a glimpse into this time period before we study it in more depth next semester.

Then the kids all disperse to get dressed, brush teeth, do chores and then get started on school.  Spencer works on some preschool activities while the big boys do their independent work.  As soon as Addy is done with breakfast, she and Spencer go play so the big boys and I can tackle science.

After science, Peter works on either his left or right schedule.  His favorite subjects are Hands on Equations (beginning algebra) and Python computer programming.  His least favorites are spelling and the written component of Rosetta Stone.

Elliot's schedule is, understandably, a bit lighter than Peter's.  He is excited about almost all of his subjects...typing is a hard sell, but getting to choose the superhero theme in the typing program makes it tolerable.
